Job description: This person in this position will serve as a bilingual (English and Spanish) web developer and IT support for a study that will pilot test an online soap opera intervention with Latinas. This person will develop and set up the online data collection systems and an online platform (website)/application to deliver the telenovela intervention and will provide IT support during the duration of the pilot testing phase. We estimate 6 months of work for development and the rest for IT support (approximately 18 months). Manage confidential information from research participants and monitor Qualtrics and teams database to provide support. The website will be password protected, and the participant will receive an orientation before they begin their participation.This person does not need to be in person for the position but needs to have access to internet and all the IT related requirements needed to complete the work on this grant.
Specific responsibilities will include online platform development, participants monitoring, assignment of participants’ login information and password, IT support for the research team and participants, update the website/app of the study as needed.
Minimum Education and Experience RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or closely related degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in operations analysis and design, systems programming, or closely related area; or a
– Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of experience in operations analysis and design, systems programming or closely related area; or an Associate’s degree in Computer Information Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, or Networking Technology from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of experience in operations analysis and design, systems programming, or closely related area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
– Journey level requires an additional one year of education or experience.
– Advanced level requires an additional two years of education or experience.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and ExperienceBackground in computer programming and website development is required.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and ExperienceMaster’s degree preferred
