Job description: At Freddie Mac, you will do important work to build a better housing finance system and you’ll be part of a team helping to make homeownership and rental housing more accessible and affordable across the nation.Position Overview:We are looking to fill a senior developer position within mercury risk team which is part of the Investment & Capital Market division at Freddie Mac. As a team member, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with trading desks, risk managers and finance team to provide solution to highly visible business requirements, by designing, developing and testing new functionalities and enhancements to the system.Our Impact:
- We generate and report on daily risk metrics for I&CM division and beyond to help business making hedging decisions and feed financial reports on market risk of the retained portfolio.
- We find innovative approaches to bring solutions to business quickly and sustainably.
Your Impact:
- Work closely with business teams to understand requirement.
- Be able to independently design, develop and test solutions following SDLC process.
- Mentor junior team member as need arise.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- Strong analytical background with advanced degree in analytical discipline.
- Prior experience working in financial service industry.
- Prior experience in Java, Python and Microsoft SQL server.
