We are looking for creative, customer-obsessed, curious, and highly entrepreneurial leaders to join our team.The ideal candidate is an experienced, self-directed Sr. Visual Designer, detail-oriented, and comfortable with ambiguity. In this role, you will leverage experimentation and performance data to inform your approach, creating best practices and playbooks to drive quick adoption and progress. The Sr. Visual Designer will create best-in-class layouts and visuals that support organizational objectives while partnering with marketing teams to ensure that designs meet our customer and business needs. This role provides a great opportunity to make an outsized impact by collaborating closely with talented marketing, business, and tech leaders to unlock cross-category discovery.The Ideal Candidate Has:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and is comfortable meeting with senior stakeholders regularly.
  • A demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams and prioritize deliverables.
  • A strong sense of ownership, urgency, independence, and flexibility.
  • The technical aptitude to learn the systems and technology used in our day-to-day business.

Basic Qualifications:

  • An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating strong visual communication, a deep understanding of typography, color, print and digital executions, and great user-centered design solutions.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience with visual design.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to be self-directed as needed.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly proficient in Figma, Adobe Suite, and related design and production software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as visual communications or graphic design.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective cross-team collaborator with the ability to work across multiple creative projects.
  • Expert understanding of the web production process; familiarity with post-production retouching.

Key job responsibilities
1. Present concepts and produced work to stakeholders and internal customers, including senior management.
2. Understand and respond to performance data (metric tests, usability studies), and steer the direction of future creative designs.
3. Understand usability principles that help drive successful design.
4. Work cross-team, lead the design process, and synthesize feedback and input from stakeholders.
5. Quickly turn around detailed comps/mockups in an iterative environment.
6. Work closely with art directors to influence best practice photo direction for each placement.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS– 8+ years of driving compelling creative strategy and execution at an agency or in-house creative team experience
– Bachelor’s degreePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS– Experience developing cross-functional relationships with product, consumer research and marketing teams to develop strategy and consumer insights that drive compelling creative executions
– Experience leading creative development of innovative creative from concept to delivery
– Experience managing creative (internal team of designers, copywriters, external agencies and freelancers)
– Experience presenting creative concepts effectively to senior executives

The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $210,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
