Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an immediate need for a Sr. Principal Facilities Representative located in Chantilly, VA.This position will be located in Chantilly, VA and will also be required to travel to other NG sites to support special projects.Position Summary:Plans utilization of office space with requirements of organizational efficiency, and available facilities and funds. Plans, coordinates, and allocates office space for all locations. Develops and recommends long-range plans to meet future office space needs. Formulates, recommends, and ensures compliance with approved standards and policies relating to office space and furnishings. May provide oversight in matters relating to planning and execution of alterations, improvements, and other occupancy requirements. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with strong oral and written communications skills along with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to interact with all levels of the organization and external representatives with good analytical ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice.Job Responsibilities:Candidate will be required to utilize AutoCAD to manage floor plans for Nova buildings.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).Plans, designs, and oversees the reconfiguration of buildings and other facilities. Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company, or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.Plans utilization of building space and facilities support for company consistent with requirements of space efficiency.Ensure project space requirements are clearly defined.Acts as a POC facilities rep to make sure Archibus floor plans are up to date.Works with the Facility Manager and project manager to identify building facility issues and develop solutions, such as allocation of required resources.Will use Excel software for to assist Facility Manager and PM compile and track facility tasks.Reports directly to the Facilities Manager and performs job duties with minimal supervision.Designs SCIF’s spaces and unclassified spaces for program approval in AutoCAD. Traveled on a as needed basis NG sites for project support.Must have experience and success interacting successfully with customers and building facility vendors as candidate will very often serve as facility liaison with vendors.Ability to maintain flexibility to deal with changing priorities, deadlines, and emergent requirements and adjust work time schedule.Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings. Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition. Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs. Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.Prepare Archibus reports to explain occupancy, vacancy, square footage, headcount, and lease information or slide deck briefings.Collaborates with the architects, engineers, procurement, furniture vendors Security and EH&S points of contact to complete construction projects.Update furniture standards playbook for Mission Systems (MS) sector on materials, color ways, sizes on workstation and office layouts.Manage flex seating through Agile Quest, a scheduling and reservation system for hotel seating.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience; OR a Master’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience; OR will also consider an additional 4 years of experience (12 years total) in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with Space planningExperience in project management and general construction processesExperience updating As-Built drawings by performing site visits and field measurements as neededSalary Range: $113,500.00 – $170,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
