We support Optik TV, internet access hardware, Boost Wi-Fi, SmartHome, and more.What you’ll do:As a Senior Technical Product Manager in the TELUS Connected Home Hardware Team focused on consumer internet hardware, you will manage an existing suite of hardware, while developing new products. As part of the product management team, you will bridge the technical and business worlds, engaging with and getting buy-in from several stakeholders and partners, both internally and externally, on your proposed product roadmap. You will build and manage ongoing business cases, inventory, logistics, forecasting, and project schedules to ensure business continuity and product leadership.Specifically, you will:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert by maintaining up-to-date industry knowledge across competitor products, vendor roadmaps, IoT protocols, Wi-Fi protocols, smart home technologies, telecommunications standards, and access technology types (fibre, copper, DOCSIS, fixed wireless), and in-home wiring distribution types (coaxial cable, ethernet)
  • Define product roadmap and in-home deployment architecture across existing and new products, including market research (technology, consumer, competitor), product design (industrial design, packaging, mechanical design, features, useability, and onboarding), requirements documentation, engineering interlock (RF, mechanical, software, and FW), and business rule documentation
  • Create, maintain, and successfully present and obtain approval on business cases that support your product roadmap to all levels of leadership
  • Evaluate mechanical design, RF design, CMF, and production decisions as part of the product development process
  • Lead the end-to-end internal and external project teams required to enable product launches and existing product management. This will include vendors, engineering teams, systems and ordering, app development, marketing, logistics, and supply chain management
  • Build, maintain, and effectively communicate the project plan and schedule for new product development projects to all levels of leadership, both internally and externally
  • Maintain strategic partnerships and relationships across multiple hardware, silicon, and software vendors

QualificationsWhat you bring:

  • 5+ years experience managing technical projects through to completion
  • Degree in business, engineering, or a related field
  • Understanding and experience with consumer electronics development life cycles and various electronics manufacturing working models
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment with many stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and presentation skills

  • PMP Certification
  • Agile Product Management Certification
  • Knowledge of Jira advanced roadmaps & Confluence
  • Knowledge of Monday.com

Salary Range: $106,000-$158,000Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 15%Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
