What you’ll do
- Collaborating with other government departments in support of TBS’ modernization agenda, project manage the coordination of regulatory cooperation and regulatory and legislative reviews.
- In support of modernization initiatives, lead, identify and coordinate the development of policies, procedures, processes and workflows.
- Coordinate and support various internal committees and outreach initiatives.
- Lead on corporate and regulatory reporting obligations.
- Lead on the modernization and digitization of the regulatory framework.
- Support the modernization of the CNSC’s consultation approach.
- Lead modernization efforts of the Navigator, CNSC’s management system.
Essential Qualifications:Education:Completion of appropriate post-secondary education at a recognized institution, combined with extensive experience in policy analysis, policy program management and development in a regulatory environment, or a relevant combination of education, experience and job knowledge.Language Requirements:Bilingual imperative with proficiency at CBB level. - Leading and managing organizational-wide projects and initiatives, including writing briefing notes, developing project plans and delegating work.
- Developing policies, processes and workflows to address new trends in nuclear regulation and modern practices in operations.
- Corporate or/and regulatory reporting and planning.
- Leading committees and working groups.
- Briefing senior management (Director General and above) in writing and/or through presentation.
- Establishing and/or maintaining programs and frameworks, including implementing new tools and managing contracts and budget.
Knowledge of:
- CNSC’s regulatory framework.
- Project management practices.
Ability to:
- Work with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
- Drive projects with regular briefings, and reports on progress and status.
- Identify and address operational gaps, inefficiencies, and challenges with innovative yet practical solutions.
