As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Sales people to join our team.Position Summary:We are seeking a Salesperson who is passionate about the lumber and the construction industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive accurate, timely, and personalized assistance in purchasing lumber and building materials. This position requires a deep understanding of construction projects, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to provide cost-effective solutions.Responsibilities:

  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers. Understand their specific needs and offer tailored solutions to meet their project requirements.
  • Estimation: Utilize your expertise to accurately estimate the quantity and type of lumber and building materials required for construction projects. Provide detailed quotes to customers in a timely manner.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay current with the latest products and industry trends. Be able to recommend the best materials and products for various construction projects.
  • Sales: Assist customers in making purchasing decisions. Explain the features and benefits of various products and provide pricing information. Close sales and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Order Processing: Efficiently process sales orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of products to the customer’s satisfaction.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team, warehouse staff, and management to ensure seamless operations and meet sales targets.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, estimates, and sales transactions.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales within the lumber or building materials industry.
  • Knowledge of lumber and building materials, including various wood species, sizes, and applications.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Education:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Additional education or training related to construction or sales is a plus.
