Job description: Your JobDarkVision, a subsidiary of Koch Engineered Solutions, is in search of a Product Manager for In-line Inspection (ILI) solutions. In this role, you will bring disruptive acoustic-based inspection technologies to the ILI space. You will be responsible for the P&L of the product line and for setting the vision for the final customer facing deliverables. Your main responsibilities include clearly defining product requirements, road mapping feature development for all technical teams, developing the customer reports and visualizations, overseeing technical marketing material generation, and ensuring fit for scale processes are in place to support the growth of our ILI business. This role will be highly dynamic and change over time as the product line launches and matures.If you have experience with pipeline inspection and ILI (HW, SW, data), regardless of whether it is with an ILI vendor, pipeline operator, or integrity consultant, we want to hear from you. - Product Requirements & Roadmap: Work with internal and external stakeholders to capture product requirements. Support the business development manager by translating and prioritizing customer needs into development roadmap and timelines. Define the scope involved with our in-house technical teams and software product manager and build the development roadmap for customer facing capabilities. Provide regular touchpoint for marketing, sales and analysis team and communicate the roadmap to help align the internal stakeholders.
- Product Specifications: Own the product specifications and define the testing roadmap required to define new specifications. Communicate the product specifications to internal stakeholders and train sales team on the product specifications for external use. Expect to be involved in client facing discussions with the business development and sales teams and become the product expert. Design validation tests for the technical teams to answer the difficult customer questions and then capture and disseminate this information appropriately.
- Product Marketing: Own the plan and proposals for whitepaper content. Project manage the execution of paper content (lab, field, research components) across multiple stakeholders and write paper as well as case study content yourself. Organize and own a visualization library, backlog of content ideas and example from the lab, testing and customer runs. You will be responsible for the overall execution and impact these papers have on our product line. Ideate and drive compelling demos that showcase unique applications of the technology. Work closely with business development manager and marketing team to ensure strong alignment between core value propositions, marketing campaigns and the published content. We value quality and thought leadership over quantity and page count.
- Analysis and Sales Liaison: Own the processes that will become routinely used to manage the interface between the analysis and sales teams. Define the requirements of the processes and work with internal stakeholders to implement and improve them. Capture the customers inspection needs and work with analysis team to ensure the final inspection report provides them actionable insight. Steer the development of impactful visualizations and define when and where they are most critical for client specific applications. Work to standardize our offerings such that we can scale effectively yet design flexibility to allow that reports can be customized by our analysis team to differentiate our offering. Manage the processes, tools and templates that enable a scalable flow of information from client to data analysis and vice versa. These include the CRM, excel and PDF templates, pre-job planning meetings, report review protocols and more.
- Competitor & Market Analysis: Perform ongoing competitive analysis of the pipeline inspection industry, including pricing strategies, product positioning and competitor development efforts. Gather intelligence that can inform our product strategy and geographic expansion. Provide regular reports to our business development manager, and executive team regarding the competitive landscape, target markets, and client feedback gathered.
- Industry Prescence: Attend key industry events and grow contacts to quickly penetrate the market and make our inspection solutions known. Learn about our downhole inspection solutions and understand the overlap in these markets to leverage synergies with existing clients.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience in pipeline integrity or pipeline inspection working at an ILI vendor, an integrity consultancy, or as an integrity engineer at a pipeline operator.
What Will Put You Ahead
- 5+ years of experience in ILI (traditional or unpiggable).
- Experience in B2B product management.
- Experience in asset inspection or asset integrity management.
- Experience in commercial aspects of a data/SW centric service offering.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Initiative-taking mindset.
- Excellent organizational skills supporting data-driven decision-making.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
General Salary RangeFor this role, we anticipate paying $125 – 175k base salary per year.
