If you’re passionate about aircraft maintenance, join our Tech Ops experts and help keep our fleet in top condition.Key Responsibilities:The Principal Engineer will support and measure the efficiency of existing tools, processes, and training. When deficiencies are identified, the engineer will work cross-functionally to find and implement solutions. You’ll also assess the impact of processes, tools, and training, balancing cost, asset utilization, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Studies, analyzes and seeks solutions to problems related to the performance of engineering tools, processes, and training.
- Lead groups in structured problem-solving by using lean techniques.
- Develops solutions for sophisticated engineering challenges and leads all aspects of the entire project lifecycle, including justification, cost/benefit analysis, and implementation.
- Act as a subject matter expert, coordinating with internal and external teams to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and fleet reliability.
- Coordinate work with other operational groups to ensure airworthiness, safety, regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Connect with partners on technical issues, process recommendations, and quality investigations.
Location: This position is at CSC-Willis Tower in Chicago, IL. A hybrid work schedule is available, typically requiring three days in the office, subject to change based on company needs.The salary for this position ranges from $116,022 to $178,400, depending on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. - Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, or industrial engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years at a senior engineering or similar role elsewhere in the industry.
- Strong analytical and project management skills, particularly for regulatory compliance projects.
- Outstanding verbal and technical writing abilities.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Consistent and punctual attendance is vital.

- Advanced engineering degree
- Experience in maintenance check engineering on Boeing/Airbus aircraft.
- Proficiency in data analysis and presentation.
- Familiarity with Foundry or similar data analysis tools.
- Solid understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations (parts 145, 25, and 121).
