They will perform 1D to 3D hybrid simulations of Alfvénic fluctuations to use in conjunction with a machine learning algorithm to develop an augmented global model for the solar wind. The successful candidate will also perform data analysis from recent and past missions (Parker Solar Probe, Helios and Wind missions) to compare numerical predictions with observations.
