At our firm, you will work with successful business owners, families, and individuals around Skagit Valley. You will provide life-changing support to clients who look to us as advocates for their hopes and dreams. Utilizing best-in-class resources and technology, you will roll up your sleeves and work in collaboration with a senior advisor to tackle complex financial, estate, and tax planning situations and deliver an experience to clients that is second to none. This is what we call fun!Interested in more details? As a Paraplanner, you can expect to:

  • Provide ongoing support to your senior advisor
  • Prepare for client meetings, take notes, complete follow up, and correspond with clients
  • Participate and listen carefully in client and planning meetings and translate the discussions into a strategy for data collection
  • Complete accurate financial plans in MoneyGuidePro by performing complex analysis of planning strategies, risks, and opportunities in the areas of retirement planning, tax planning, estate planning, cash flow planning, asset allocation, risk management, etc.
  • Facilitate the implementation of client recommendations while maintaining appropriate compliance requirements
  • Work autonomously within an area of responsibility, as well as collaboratively to contribute to the overall client experience
  • Be flexible and open to work on varied assignments with colleagues across the firm
  • Develop client deliverables and reports in a timely and accurate manner
  • Respond to client service needs throughout the year
  • Escalate account or investment problems and bring to the attention of the senior advisor as needed
  • Maintain comprehensive communication records using a contact management system including email capture, notes, call history, tasks, etc.
  • Stay current on trends in the financial planning area
  • Recommend new or updated tools and resources to keep our firm on the cutting edge (e.g. regarding customer relationship management, trading models, etc.)
  • Demonstrate job stability and career progression

Qualifications for this role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
  • CFP®, SIE, Series 7, Series 66, life and health preferred but not required
  • Strong computer skills are required: Microsoft Office and ability to learn financial planning software (MoneyGuidePro and Morningstar)
