Expected Start Date: ASAPYour Day to Day:Specifically, the Paralegal Instructor will be responsible for:
- Delivering instruction that meets module and program objectives as set out in the curriculum
- Evaluating student performance fairly and consistently
- Contributing to the development of curriculum and instructional materials
- Supporting the administrative functions of the campus to enhance the student experience
- Acting in a manner that upholds the College standards
- Participating in College and Program Activities
- Monitoring and reviewing students during practicum and/or clinical placements, as program requires
What You Bring to the Table:
- Law Degree or diploma from a recognized University or College related to law and/or legal administration.
- A minimum of 3 years of work-related experience, with a minimum of 2 years of practical experience.
- A minimum of 1-year instructional experience or hold a certificate in adult learning.
- Demonstrate relevant industry expertise, engage in continuous professional development, and embrace innovative educational approaches. Exhibit advanced communication skills, motivating and inspiring students while maintaining high standards and a commitment to quality service.
- Collaborate effectively with instructors and staff, responding empathetically to student needs, providing equitable feedback, and utilizing technology to enhance the learning experience.
Bonus Points For:
- Familiarity with legal software, e-discovery tools, and virtual learning platforms to enhance teaching and student engagement.
- Holding additional certifications or memberships in legal associations, such as the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA)
- Previous experience in legal education or mentoring, with a strong understanding of pedagogical strategies tailored for adult learners.
