Job description: I am currently partnering with a firm that is seeking a paralegal with 4+ years civil litigation and transactional experience to join their Business, General Litigation, and Real Estate practice groups.Background:
- Assists attorneys in all aspects of real estate transactions involving both individual clients and businesses, including initial drafting of contracts and closing binders, title policies, loan documents and UCC searches.
- Assists attorneys in preparation of depositions; prepares witness files; prepares and serves Notice(s) of Deposition; coordinates schedules with court reporters and videographers.
- Drafts standard procedural pleadings; maintains correspondence and pleadings files.
- Performs legal research; compiles, analyzes, and presents findings; obtains information/ documents from various courts, government agencies, libraries, and other outside resources.
- Assists with trial preparation; maintains case calendars, case files, and trial/case notebookss
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required
- Paralegal Certificate strongly preferred
