Job description: The position will lead the department and oversee North America Account Transitions operations, supporting the production processing of multiple client’s New Accounts, Transfers, Terminations, Maintenance setup and/or changes. A candidate for this position will possess strong management skills, capable of managing a team of 15+ with indirect oversight of an offshore team as well. This candidate will interact with global counterparts to ensure “follow-the-sun” coverage is in place and that controls and best practices are adopted across the organization.The position will interact with internal and external senior management on all matters involving account changes and configurations and build relationships to maintain client satisfaction. The department has Client SLA’s that must be monitored and adhered to in a strong risk management environment. As the department leader, this candidate will be responsible for ensuring adequate controls, processes, and procedures are in place. Reviews and analyzes client change request to estimate the body of work, headcount impact, feasibility, and make recommendations for solutions, testing, and implementation. Brings escalated issues to resolution. Conducts high level analysis in specific areas of concern and identifies trends where process gaps may be present. Works with the new client onboarding team to negotiate client SLA’s, KPIs, and the Future State Operating Model. Acts as a department lead to educate new clients on the services that the Account Transitions team performs. Ensures that tools, procedures, and training has taken place in advance of new client implementations. Coaches first level managers and provides advisement on the management, development, and retention of staff.JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the day to day responsibilities of the team by developing a strong risk management and controlled environment. Eliminate risk incidents and charge-offs.
- Confirm the completion of the review and verification of the staff’s work on a daily basis, enforcing stringent procedures and controls. Assist in the review and verification process as needed.
- Act as instructed by client. Conduct high-level analysis in specific areas of expertise, identify and resolve work-processing issues, make suggestions to streamline operations.
- Play active role in staff development. Act as an “expert” and provide guidance for other employees; including on-the-job training for other team members. Manage the continued focus on periodic staff communication in both a group and one on one setting.
- Take active role in the hiring of new employees, retaining existing employees and staff development. Ensure adequate access is set up for new employees.
- Research routine issues and inquiries. Resolve discrepancies and take action on routine matters and inquiries from external clients and internal departments.
- Approve documented workflow, procedures and controls.
- Determine impact of activity to other areas.
- Make proactive recommendations and solutions for problem resolution.
- Interface with senior level internal and external clients and other departments on complex matters and inquiries.
- Ad-hoc reporting, including daily, weekly and monthly metrics.
- Engage in complex special projects and assignments.
INDEPENDENT ACTION:
Performs work independently and analyzes and recommends solutions to complex and non-routine issues and special projects. Develops processes, procedures and controls. Handles regular independent interaction with client contacts.SCOPE DIFFERENTIATION:
Focus of job on performing management tasks and providing business and technical expertise in support of multiple clients. Develop communication channels with clients to achieve high client satisfaction. Acts as an advisor to other areas of the organization.MINIMUM JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in finance, accounting, or economics or equivalent work experience in finance or accounting.
- 10 plus years related industry experience including 4 years of managerial experience
- Working knowledge of Domestic and International financial and all related instruments.
- Detailed understanding of operations.
- Strong leadership and attention to detail.
- Ability to develop business relationships within and outside the organization.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and problems solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task, balance workload and work in a deadline oriented position.
- Ability to meet aggressive SLA Deadlines.
- Computer proficient including spreadsheet and database applications.
Salary Range: $100,000 – $160,000 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
