Job description: The Insights Manager will serve as the data maven for The Atlantic’s brand partnership initiatives, from the pitch and proposal stage through campaign reporting and account renewal.The position will collaborate closely with key internal teams, including Sales and Account Leads, Data Science, Marketing, and Revenue Operations.This role will report to the Insights Director.What you’ll do:Collaborate with colleagues across Marketing and Revenue Operations to create and support compelling creative executions and large-scale brand media strategies with data from 1st and 3rd party sourcesDevelop proprietary research studies to position The Atlantic for success across key categories and high-value clientsMonitor active brand campaigns; this will include collaborating with our Revenue Operations team to prioritize campaign optimizations and flag any discrepancies in the campaign data/insightsGenerate regular campaign insight reports and presentations for our clients (i.e. analyzing performance/ interpreting the data, extracting insights, and generating external-facing learnings or takeaways)Manage brand measurement, including brand study programming and execution (i.e. vetting vendors, drafting study questions, monitoring active brand studies, etc.)Ideate ways to grow The Atlantic brand and establish it as a thought leader in the publishing industry through all manner of dataWho you are:A data builder, analyst, and solver; you understand not only how and when to use relevant research, insights, and data, but you can extrapolate key learnings or takeaways for The Atlantic and our partnersDetail-oriented with effective organizational and time management skillsDemonstrated ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, multi-task, and stay focused in a dynamic, client-focused environmentComfortable leading meetings with internal and external stakeholdersRequirements:3-5 years of experience in media, marketing, or advertisingSignificant experience in building and executing multi-input research studies from end-to-endExpertise in Excel and PowerPoint (or comparable tools) is a mustExperience with Google Analytics, digital traffic dash(es) such as (Parse.ly, Chartbeat, or Omniture), MRI Simmons and/or Comscore (Nielsen also acceptable), and social listening tools is importantFamiliarity with brand measurement and the associated landscape (i.e. Kantar, Lucid, Latitude, etc.) and data management tools (i.e. Looker, Tableau, etc) is a plusSpecifications:$65,000-$75,000 + Annual BonusBased in NYCAbout The Atlantic:The Atlantic has, for more than 160 years, advanced ideas that matter and sparked global conversation on the most important issues of our time.
