Job description: My client is looking for an Electrical Engineer with a focus on assisting with maintenance and reliability issues in a mill.Key AccountabilitiesReview & Revise equipment criticalities in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).Lead RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis) investigations and identify corrective actions to address root cause of electrical equipment failures.Lead refinement of the mill predictive and preventative maintenance programsCreate detailed plans for unique complex jobsConduct FMEAs (Failure Mode Effects Analysis)Lead small capital reliability improvement projects from start to finishDevelop QA/QC for critical electrical workBe familiar with and keep up-to-date on predictive technologies to aid in early detection of impending equipment/process failureRequirementsP-Eng required or actively working towards P-Eng designationKnowledgeable on large motor, construction and maintenance requirements, (AC and DC motors)Providing technical support for power and control issues and development of work procedures, standards, addressing of skill deficiencies and development of best practicesStrong technical and problem solving skillsKnowledge of the Canadian Electrical CodeAbility to work as leader in a team and collaborate with other disciplines to ensure continuity of operationsQualifications:The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or CET with equivalent combination of demonstrated skill and work experience.Personal commitment to working safely and protecting the safety of othersMinimum of 5 years’ experience in heavy industrial maintenanceStrong Electrical aptitudeExperience with PLC/DCS operations and logicAbility & confidence to initiate actions with a sense of urgency driving for high quality, sustainable resultsFamiliarity with computerized maintenance management systems (SAP preferred)Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Expected salary: $100000 – 120000 per year
