The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector and Global Solutions Management-Operations II (GSMO-II) have an opening in our Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) Network Operations Controller (NOC) for a JRSS NOC Technician at Scott AFB, IL.Primary ResponsibilitiesResponsible for performing and training team on the following duties:Execute network operations to include analysis of customer traffic across the MPLS and JRSS infrastructure.Perform real-time customer failover to restore services during scheduled and unscheduled outages and maintenance actions.Work directly with supported customers and peers to ensure maximum network availability to minimize or eliminate mission and operational impact.Proactively monitor network alarms across platform specific network management tools.Perform a variety of change management tasks which include hardware replacement, software configurations, and ASI management.Utilize incident management applications to document all aspects of reported outages/degradations, isolations, escalations, and resolutions during the lifecycle of a service impacting network incident.Assess and identify resolutions to various network incidents and/or deficiencies leveraging knowledge in one or more of following: routers, switches, routing protocols, MPLS, VPN technologies, IDS/IPS, proxies, packet capture, network taps, load balancing, firewalls, out-of-band management.Basic QualificationsMust have DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE, or equivalent) at start date.Ability to work in a 24/7 operation.Experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, performance management.Expertise in one or more of the following: routers, switches, routing protocols, CISCO, Juniper, MPLS.General understanding of network topologies.Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance.Preferred QualificationsTech control facility or cyber transport experienceCircuit actions and vendor experienceIP architecture experienceTelco NOC, inside or outside plant experience.Experience with MS Office suite, i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, TEAMsExperience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, performance management, change management.Any additional certifications to include: CCNA, JNCIA-Junos, F5 Networks Certified Technical Specialist, ITILv4.Required Education and ExperienceHigh school and 2-4 years of experience.GSMOOriginal Posting Date: 2024-10-17While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range: Pay Range $44,850.00 – $81,075.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
