This position assists in the management and monitoring of fish and wildlife populations within the Northern Tutchone Region. The successful candidate will support government biologists and resource managers in the monitoring of key species, including moose, caribou, freshwater fish, and other wildlife of cultural and ecological importance.This position will work for a one-year Term from approximately May 2025 to April 2026.   • A post-secondary degree or diploma in biological or environmental sciences or related field;
  • Coursework in fish/wildlife management, human dimensions in natural resource management, and/or First Nations studies would be an asset;
  • Experience with fish or wildlife field studies would be an asset.

Additional InformationConditions of Employment: Class 5 Yukon Drivers’ License.Job Requirements: Must be willing to travel throughout the Yukon and work evening/weekends.NOTE: To qualify for the GradCorps program, you must:

  • be a resident of Yukon or a person of Yukon First Nations ancestry*
  • have graduated with a diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary institution within the past two years (2023, 2024 or 2025 grads – all requirements for graduation must be complete before internship start date)
  • have little or no work experience in your field of study

*If you are a resident of Yukon who completed your studies outside of the territory, you may apply up to two years after graduation.

Expected salary: $85225 – 98818 per year
