Job description: General Liability AttorneyOur client, a well-regarded law firm with a dynamic civil litigation practice, is seeking a talented Midlevel Associate Attorney to join their California team remotely. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to work on both insurance bad faith and general liability matters in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of bad faith, fraud, and general liability matters (including premises liability, personal injury, auto/trucking accidents, habitability, and construction defect cases).
  • Handle 50% bad faith and 50% general liability cases, with opportunities to focus on Special Investigation Unit (SIU) claims.
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, and legal documents.
  • Conduct depositions, attend hearings, and participate in trials.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on strategy, providing exceptional legal counsel and advocacy.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of civil litigation experience, with either prior experience in bad faith/SIU matters or a strong background in general liability and an interest in expanding into bad faith litigation.
  • Must be Bar licensed in California, in good standing
  • Ability to work remotely with excellent self-management skills.
  • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a remote setting.
