This full-time/permanent, Fiscal Analyst 4 (FA4), in the UI Treasury unit, allows flexible schedule options working part-time in office and part-time telework.As the Fiscal Analyst (FA4) for the UI Treasury Unit, this position updates and tests desk procedures and IT system changes, reconciles and records returned fraudulent funds, and ensures that the agency’s general ledger accounts reflect the proper balances. This position also reviews, performs, and/or assists with all UI Treasury fiscal work. This work supports the organizational mission by providing accurate and timely financial information to the Treasury Manager and other agency staff that will assist them in reporting the agency’s financial activities.DutiesSome of what you will do:

  • Perform regular reviews of fraud records for accuracy and completeness; identify potential financial problem areas and alternative methods of maintaining and communicating
  • Monitors and reconciles existing returned fraud deposits from multiple federal sources; record and research new/ongoing returned fraud deposits for claimant booking in UTAB.
  • Serve as Treasury contact and Liaison with the local bank and federal government.
  • Create accurate entries in AFRS and claimant system after research and analysis; provide weekly and monthly report updates on fraud activities.
  • Perform complex financial analysis and process draws; review financial actions for accuracy; analyze and prepare financial transactions corrections.
  • Perform local financial activities and daily transfers; maintain a cash journal of daily receipts and disbursements processed. Review Bureau of Public Debt accounting records.
  • Prepare accounting and reporting information, research, review and prepare financial reports for submission; upload daily/monthly/annual data into AFRS and submit to required government agencies.
  • Create, monitor and maintain Treasury tickets surrounding technological issues in the claimant system. Endure intermonth issues are resolved or followed up on. Test, analyze and review potential solutions in lower environments of the claimant system.

QualificationsRequired:A combination of education and/or relevant professional experience equivalent to seven (7) years, which includes 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing, or budgeting.NOTE:
** Professional experience may substitute for education but not for the credit hours.
** A Master’s degree in a financial related field, certification as a Public Accountant, Internal Auditor, Certified Governmental Financial Manager or Management Accountant can be substituted for one year of professional experience.OR a combination of education and/or relevant experience i.e. 1 year as a Fiscal Analyst 3, 2 years as a Fiscal Analyst 2Desired:Knowledge of CFR 200 Uniform Administrative RequirementsEducation to Experience Equivalences:Associate Degree = 2 years | Bachelor’s Degree = 4 years | Master’s = 5 yearsAdditional Requirement of Employment:
