Job description: The Manufacturing Engineer will be involved in project based work for our client, focused on their sheet metal fabrication department. This person will be responsible for leading Engineering projects as jobs are requested from customers. If you have an in-depth knowledge of the sheet metal fabrication process and want to have some creativitiy in your role, this is for you!
- Serve as point person for new Engineering projects
- Review part requests/Engineering drawings, and Engineer the part from there
- Select machinery & develop manufacturing process for optimal production
- Design custom tooling/fixtures to support production for the sheet metal fabrication process
- Delegate project tasks/responsibilities to other team members
- Drive continuous improvement to existing operations, with focus on scrap reduction & overall cost savings
- Assist in generating programs for automated metal fabrication machinery

- 5+ years experience in a metal fabrication environment
- Ability to take an engineering drawing and convert into final product with little to no guidance
- Previous exposure to working closely on projects, including interfacing with customers and estimating project costs
- Experience programming machinery – press brakes, lasers, turrets, wire benders etc. – strongly preferred
- Experience leading process improvement initiatives

- Base salary $85,000 – $110,000 depending on level of experience
- Discretionary bonus based on company performance
