This position is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships and regular communications with targeted employers (local, state, and nation-wide) to ensure repeat recruiting/outreach activities designed to provide internship, co-op, and professional opportunities for our students. The position also assists to develop marketing strategies to enhance greater visibility of the university and its students to industry and community partners.RESPONSIBILITIESEmployer Recruitment – 50%Designs a marketing strategy to identify and attract targeted employers (local, state, and nation-wide) to increase employment opportunities for Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi students.Assists employers in building their brands on campus to support their recruiting plan. Advises employers on marketing strategies and sets expectations for event participation and student involvement. Serves as an expert consultant to employers on student behavior, needs, and desires.Ensures adequate and creative marketing of employer related events. Coordinates execution of surveys and assessments to employers on quality of recruiting services provided and utilizes data to improve the service, satisfaction and results.Relations Management – 30%Develops and maintains active relationships with target employers and alumni. Ensures effective onboarding process for new employers. Implements strategies to keep them informed and engaged with students and faculty.Collaborates and maintains active relationships with faculty to help integrate career knowledge into the classroom environment, to foster connections to employers, and to support the goals and missions of those departments. Establishes excellent rapport among students, university departments, the public, and employers that hire students.Maintains the highest level of professionalism. Attends university promotional functions and other events (e.g. Island Days, New Student Orientations, Alumni, corporate networking events, community events, as well as events hosted by national organizations) to best represent the Career and Professional Development Center and Institutional Advancement.Events & Administration – 15%Assists and participates in career fairs and other employer-specific events/workshops hosted by the Career Center.Prepares monthly and annual reports on recruiting and employer development data.Others – 5%Serve on committees and assist with special projects as needed.
