Job description: Aplin is seeking an experienced Corporate Paralegal to join a reputable national law firm with offices in Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta.In this role, based in Edmonton, you will be an integral part of a dynamic corporate paralegal team, providing essential support to lawyers and clients. To succeed in this position, you must have 5 years of experience in a corporate paralegal capacity and be comfortable handling a diverse range of tasks.   • Salary Range: $75,000 – $90,000.

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and preparation of corporate documents relating to incorporations, amalgamations, extra-provincial registrations, continuances, revivals, dissolutions, amendments, share transactions (including rollovers/share exchanges), trade names, director/officer changes
  • All registrations/filings as permitted by levels 1, 2 and 3 with CORES (Corporate Registry) and completion of filings with Corporations Canada
  • Reporting and billing, including updating Minute Books and Records
  • Frequent contact with co-workers, lawyers, clients, and external agencies

Qualifications:

  • CORES Level 3
  • Experience with ALF as an asset
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a corporate paralegal capacity with solid knowledge of corporate law
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work well within a team environment and independently
