The Business Relationship Management (BRM) team facilitates the planning and delivery of NAIT’s technology investments, manages strategic portfolios, and provides business analysis services. We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic individual to join our team of dynamic professionals.Reporting to the Director, Business Relationship Management, the Budget & Vendor Management Analyst, works closely with BRM leaders to ensure budgets are aligned with project and operational goals, while also fostering effective partnerships with external vendors to deliver optimal service and cost management.If you have a strong financial background, expertise in managing vendor relationships, and experience overseeing capital project budgets, we want to hear from you!Key Responsibilities
- Oversee IT capital project budgets, track expenditures, and prepare forecasts and reports.
- Cultivate strong vendor and internal partnerships.
- Validate invoices meet contractual obligations before requesting payment.
- Facilitate reviews of software licensing usage to maximize value realization.
- Coordinate software subscription renewals for select platforms and applications.
- Conduct financial analyses and analyse root causes to support decision-making and identify opportunities for efficiencies.
- Foster a culture of fiscal stewardship and transparency.
Duties require a level of effort dictated by critical deadlines and may require flexibility in hours and days of work.Skills & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, including budgeting and financial analysis.
- Ability to establish, maintain, and optimize vendor and internal partnerships.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with project management principles.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Accounting designation such as CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
- Working knowledge of PeopleSoft Finance.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of Power BI is beneficial.
- Experience working in a post-secondary educational institution is an asset.
