Job Type: PermanentOur client, a top-tier consulting and public accounting firm, is seeking an accounting supervisor to join their team and support their rapid growth. In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation of corporate groups, including reviewing and auditing working papers, financial statements and preparation of corporate tax returns and related filings.Key Functions and Responsibilities:– Conducting complex compilation, review, and audit engagements.
– Preparing corporate, personal, and trust income tax returns.
– Generating tax slips (T3, T4, T5, etc.).
– Identifying and resolving engagement issues.
– Directing field work and informing managers of engagement status.
– Demonstrating strong technical audit, accounting, and tax skills.
– Assisting in training and onboarding new staff accountants and CPA/Co-op students.
– Mentoring junior staff and providing constructive feedback.
– Maintaining positive and productive working relationships.
– Committing to professional client service excellence.
– Collaborating to provide integrated financial and business solutions that meet client needs.Qualifications:– University degree in commerce or accounting.
– 3 to 5 years of experience in a public accounting firm.
– 3 years of audit and assurance experience, preferably with ASPE and NPO audits.
– CPA designation.
– Proficient in CaseWare, Caseview, Taxprep, QuickBooks Online, and Simply Accounting.
