About the job:We are currently seeking a Business Development MBA Intern for a challenging experience based Internship to contribute to an innovative and groundbreaking project in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Are you passionate about AI and looking to make your mark in the industry? Come join our dynamic team as we push the boundaries and create a game-changer in the world of AI. You will have the unique opportunity to participate in a fully immersive internship where you will be helping shape strategic initiatives and business development projects. This is designed largely as a remote placement however can also be a hybrid internship (Chicago or Toronto). In this engagement/applied learning internship, you’ll gain unparalleled experience in a high-growth, dynamic environment, directly interfacing with senior management and largely different from any other internship. It will be a demanding internship and will require you to bring the best version of yourself to the table, but for those who embrace this, it will be a richly rewarding experience as well as a great compliment to your academic investment.What You’ll Do:
- Proactively engage with potential investors, establishing long-term relationships to support funding and company growth.
- Prepare and assist in crafting investor communications, such as pitch decks and presentations, to clearly convey the company’s value proposition and strategic direction.
- Conduct research on industry trends and investor interests to identify funding opportunities and refine outreach strategies.
- Support communication with existing investors by providing performance updates and assisting with investor meetings
- Work closely with other Business Development department initiatives as well as cross-department collaborations to ensure organizational alignment.
About You:
- Education: MBA or equivalent advanced degree in Business, Finance, Strategy, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in business development, investor relations, strategy consulting, or a related role, preferably within startups or capital markets.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to craft persuasive presentations and outreach materials.
- This role requires you to be comfortable with proactive outreach, phone or video communication with potential investors, and ability to present propositions efficiently.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and strategic mindset with a proven ability to identify growth opportunities and execute plans.
- Initiative: Proactive self-starter who thrives in entrepreneurial settings and takes ownership of projects from start to finish.
- Relationship Building: Adept at building and maintaining relationships with investors and stakeholders.
