Job Summary
The primary role of a Housekeeper is to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the facility and its surroundings. He/she will do basic and periodic cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, washing, vacuuming and scrubbing all the areas covered in the building. A Housekeeper is also responsible to make sure washrooms are cleaned and sanitized.Essential Job Functions:Maintains a professional appearance with a positive attitude and is adaptable and flexible.
Is patient, helpful and is interested in the welfare of the guests and staff.
Has great attention for detail and works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Follows staff conduct policies and time management guidelines.
Is organized and able to prioritize workload.
Able to multi-task for the benefit of quality services.
Able to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
Takes pride in the job well done.
Initiates and constructively develops positive team dynamics with management, peers and guests.
Initiates communication or dialogue with supervisor or manager when processes, tasks, and instructions are not clear.Required Qualifications and AbilitiesMinimum of 1-year housekeeping experience requiredCompletion of grade 12 at the start of employment required
Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
Able to safely lift 40 pounds
Must be personable, friendly and outgoing with excellent customer service skills

Deal with cleaning chemicals
