The Academic Coordinator manages and supports the development of Instructional Assistants (IAs), ensures compliance with course management processes, and supports program reporting. Additionally, the role assists Associate Deans with curriculum and student success initiatives, cross-institutional collaborations, and accreditation, contributing to the overall quality and continuous improvement of academic programs.Key Responsibilities:Leadership of Instructional Assistants (IA)Supervise and provide ongoing support to IAs.Assign, substitute, and coordinate IAs to meet program needs.Coach, mentor, and manage IA talent development.Liaise with Academic Coordinators in other schools to ensure consistency in IA practices.Participate in the recruitment, selection, and composition of IA teams.Academic AdministrationEnsure school-wide compliance with course management requirements and adherence to key deadlines.Administer and facilitate the course approval process.Validate and maintain the accuracy of information entered into the curriculum management systems.Oversee the accuracy and consistency of course information on the website.Provide support for annual program reporting and related academic processes.Academic Program Support and CoordinationAssist Associate Deans in implementing curriculum pathways, conducting program reviews, and supporting continuous improvement processes.Support Associate Deans with student admission, retention, and progression initiatives.Coordinate communications to students throughout the student lifecycle.Support Associate Deans with cross-institutional collaborations, program accreditation, and aligning with the requirements of government and other professional bodies.Provide support for program quality initiatives, such as coordinating industry focus groups and liaising with industry partners.Support the school and the Associate Deans with operational and curriculum committees, Program Advisory Committees (PACs), and Apprenticeship Advisory Committees (AACs).Skills & Abilities:Drives strategic planning and implementation aligned with institutional goals.Effectively manages relationships with diverse stakeholders.Ensures efficient and effective operations, meeting deadlines.Leads and motivates teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.Communicates clearly and effectively with diverse audiences.Makes informed decisions and solves problems creatively.Identifies opportunities for improvement and drives innovative solutions.Analyzes data to identify trends and inform strategic decisions.Qualifications:Education related post-secondary undergraduate degree or equivalency.5 years of related experience in a post-secondary institution, ideally related to program delivery.Equivalencies (combination of education and experience) may be considered.Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).Remuneration: $67,738.32 – $91,093.60 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
