- Support day-to-day business for assigned material groups on country level.
- Maintain documentation, per BSH retention guideline, of supplier qualification and activities, which include contracts (multiple forms), significant activity and meeting notes
- Monitors compliance to purchasing regulations / initiatives (e.g. no PO/no Pay; Invoice before PO; Purchasing Volume in scope, etc.) and follows up on violations / opportunities.
- Supports execution of onsite operational PU tasks (e.g. release of shopping carts, contract management, measure reporting)
- Supports Global Commodity Manager and Regional Commodity Manager in material group and market analysis with local requirements and supply market knowledge & development, alignment and implementation of material group and supplier strategy/portfolio (incl. strategy approval process), where applicable
- Supports Internal Business Partners (IBPs), most notably in Marketing and Sales in identifying and selecting vendor to procure indirect material and services meeting criteria of price, quality, quantity, availability, and delivery dates.
- Steering: Supports assigned categories based on defined KPI’s (Advanced Tactical Purchasing and Despecification) to contribute to maximum purchasing success (Total Cost of Ownership)
- Support supplier management (e.g. ensures supplier technical capacities, evaluates performance, supports local supplier development activities, supplier visits, supports supplier release, etc.)
- Support negotiation & awarding (e.g. supports RfP, negotiation & awarding process on project, material group or supplier level)
- Communicates and summarizes local budget year over year as a contributing factor to the team’s annual Tender Plan
- Monitor pending legislative, regulatory and legal action on federal, provincial and local levels
- Evaluate pending legislation and its impact on BSH
- Implement regulatory items within the BSH processes
- Manage all Provincial Extended Producer Responsibility Programs (EPR) such as monitoring Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) notifications on current status, regular reporting and auditing, and creating and monitoring payment and fees.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration) – Required
- 3-5 Years of Experience (Relevant Experience) – Required
- Solid Communication skills, including public speaking
- Negotiating skills
- Good computer skills, including data entry.
- Ability to operate independent of supervision, while learning skills of accuracy and attention to detail, to deliver quality outputs of tasks.
- Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- SAP
- BSH Systems (PUR-A, Supplier Relationship Management, Espresso, etc…)
- Travel Percentage – 10%
