*Successful completion of Presbyterian MA Advanced Skills Training within 12 months of hire
*BLS (AHA, Red Cross or ASHI Healthcare Provider) required

ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:
Direct Care Activities:
*Responsible for performing medical assistant procedures after completion of competency within organizations MA scope of work, under the supervision of a provider and PHS policy.
*Assists with procedures as determined by provider
*Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
*Basic foot care
*May perform regulatory audits as designated by the Clinic Manger
*Assists with visit closure
*Participates with care team to meet patient care and clinic needs, working cooperatively with others to accomplish required work in a timely and efficient manner
*May perform scribe duties after completing PMG scribe training
*Performs other duties as directedIndirect Care Activities:
*Responsible for Kanban system for stocking exam and procedure rooms.
*Maintains a clean, organized, safe, well-stocked environment, and follows infection prevention and regulatory standards
*Provides support for clerical functions when needed to include scheduling, referral management, and prior authorizations
*Manages patients calls and in-basket messages
*Schedules patient appointments according to guidelines. Monitors providers schedule to identify no shows for rescheduling. May include, but not limited to, placing reminder calls to patients
*Manages prior authorization for durable medical equipment, diagnostics, medications and/or specialties
*Manages referrals for diagnostic testing or specialist
*Manages and maintains tracking of Advanced Directives, FMLA, and other patient forms. Customer Service and Caring Practices:

*Responsible for taking patient calls and initiating Telephone Encounter(s) for the providers and care team.
