We’re seeking a visionary Senior Technical Product Manager to drive the evolution of SmartEnergy, shaping the roadmap that will define the future of residential energy management.Join us in creating a more sustainable future, one smart home at a time.What you’ll doAs the Senior Technical Product Manager for SmartEnergy, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation, leading our product vision and strategy. Your responsibilities will include:
- Defining, articulating, and building ongoing alignment around the product roadmap for SmartEnergy to drive subscriber growth
- Managing the performance of our SmartEnergy service to best-in-class standards, consistently looking for ways to improve the overall product, individual features, and granular performance metrics.
- Defining and working with technical product owners and engineering on implementing new features to drive scale and engagement.
- Rapid prototyping for user feedback and conducting market research to stay ahead of competitors and identify new opportunities in the smart energy sector
- Developing strategic partnerships with ventures and startups to enhance our product offerings
- Analyzing user data to drive product decisions and optimize the user experience
QualificationsWhat you bring:
- 5-8 years of experience as a Product Manager, preferably in the tech or energy sectors
- Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling consumer-facing products
- Strong technical background with the ability to understand and communicate complex technological concepts
- Experience with agile development methodologies and product lifecycle management
- Excellent analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision making
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, able to articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Passion for sustainability and energy efficiency
- Experience in UI/UX design to drive user engagement and create respective success metrics
- Recognized for using data, and your proven financial acumen to make recommendations and drive decisions
Great-to-haves
- Experience with smart home technologies, energy management systems, or utility sector products
- Knowledge of IoT platforms, AI/ML applications in consumer products, and cloud services
- Familiarity with energy industry standards and regulations, including AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure), Virtual Power Plants (VPP), and ADR (Automated Demand Response) solutions
Salary Range: $106,000-$158,000Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 15%Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
