Job description: Job Description:Robert Half is seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) with a strong background in manufacturing environments and exposure to unionized settings. This full-time permanent position is based in The ideal candidate will act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to business leaders, driving HR initiatives that support organizational goals, enhance employee engagement, and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing HR functions, including employee relations, talent management, performance management, and workforce planning.Key Responsibilities:-Partner with business leaders to understand the operational challenges and provide strategic HR support to meet business objectives.-Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the manufacturing business unit’s goals and drive organizational performance.-Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, offering guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.-Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.-Act as a point of contact for union representatives, addressing grievances and maintaining a positive labor-management relationship.-Facilitate effective communication between management and employees, fostering a collaborative work environment.-Provide support in union contract negotiations, including collective bargaining agreement (CBA) interpretations and implementation-Address union-related issues proactively, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with labor laws.-Maintain strong relationships with union representatives, facilitating a productive dialogue to resolve disputes and enhance workplace harmony.-Partner with hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies that attract top talent for manufacturing roles.-Lead the recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and selecting candidates for various positions.-Develop workforce planning strategies to meet current and future staffing needs, ensuring alignment with production requirements.-Drive the performance management process, providing coaching and support to managers in setting objectives, conducting evaluations, and implementing development plans.-Identify training and development needs, working with leaders to create and implement programs that enhance employee skills and capabilities.-Support succession planning initiatives to build a strong talent pipeline within the manufacturing operations.-Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including OSHA regulations, EEO guidelines, and labor relations requirements.-Assist in developing, implementing, and communicating HR policies and procedures tailored to the manufacturing environment.-Conduct investigations related to workplace issues, including harassment, discrimination, and safety concerns, and provide recommendations for resolution.-Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends, provide insights, and make data-driven decisions to improve HR processes and employee engagement.-Prepare regular reports on HR activities, including headcount, turnover, recruitment status, and employee relations issues, for senior management review.Requirements:-Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR certification-Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years as an HRBP in a manufacturing environment.-Proven experience working in a unionized setting, including familiarity with collective bargaining agreements and labor relations.-Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and labor relations.-Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.-Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.-Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Expected salary: $85000 – 95000 per year
