THE POSITION: Is primarily responsible for auditing, accounting and banking for cash transactions, solid waste billings, and managing the accounts receivable system for the department and maintaining proper documentation for the department, Auditor’s Office and Treasurer’s Office. This position requires application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB).
- $23.25 to $25.33 per hour

- Do you have an Associate’s or Applied Associate’s degree or Certification from an accredited 2 year college or professional/technical school or program in Bookkeeping/Accounting and a minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training?
- NOTE: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Do you have knowledge of accounting and governmental accounting principles and practices as well as general office operations?
- Are you able to gather and analyze data for the purpose of preparing accurate and timely reports, memos, letters and responses to requests for information?
- Are you able to type and enter data with speed and accuracy?
- Do you possess or have the ability to obtain a valid First Aid card, CPR certification and are you bondable?
- Do you have or have the ability to obtain a valid driver’s license and are you insurable?

- You have effective verbal and written communication skills
- You have skill in handling complex customer service issues
- You have good planning and organizational skills
- You can maintain quality work production while dealing with tight deadlines
