This Advisor will work collaboratively to provide support for our clients to help them meet their project objectives. The ideal candidate is highly efficient and productive, has strong writing and communication skills, and has effective time management skills. This individual typically has a minimum of 5+ years relevant work experience in Indigenous and/or stakeholder engagement or related experience in resource development. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis upon working well within multi-disciplinary teams. This is a hybrid role with expected travel for client service delivery work.Why WSP?

#globalminingA day in the life:
- Indigenous and Stakeholder Engagement: Consult with the public, private businesses, government agencies and Indigenous groups to support projects with appropriate consideration given to their opinions and viewpoints.
- Logistical and Organizational Administrative Support: Client support including capturing meeting notes, preparing meeting agendas, community research and profiles, mailout coordination and more.
- Communications: Write and edit communication materials and engagement strategies for projects in a variety of sectors including transportation, mining and energy resources. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to review and edit documents for accuracy, grammar and consistency in often tight timelines are essential for this role.
- In Field Travel: Support clients in the field with individuals, communities, Indigenous groups and local governments and organizations.
- Event Management: Oversee and facilitate stakeholder meetings, public events, community liaison committees, community pop-up events and virtual meeting.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that the highest standards of quality and compliance are maintained in all aspects of our operations, including project delivery and client interactions.
What you’ll bring to WSP …
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, business management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5+ years relevant work experience in Indigenous and/or stakeholder engagement or related experience in resource development.
- Organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a constantly changing environment.
- A self-starter attitude with the confidence to embrace and execute new projects and opportunities.
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to write and edit for different clientele.
- Acute event management capabilities from concept development to implementation on the ground.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully move into problem-solving mode when challenges or concerns arise.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Experience building and maintaining client relationships.
Experience in the resource development sector would be considered and asset.CompensationExpected Salary (British Columbia): $69,600 – $95,800The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
