As a CIP, you will support a small group (usually a 1:3 ratio) using person-centered approaches, advocacy, and empowerment strategies to foster full engagement in the community of their choice.to join our team. A Typical Day Includes:
- Providing direct, culturally appropriate support to individuals using person-centered approaches.
- Motivating and supporting individuals to reach their goals and objectives.
- Facilitating meaningful activities based on individual interests, preferences, and choices.
- Identifying and facilitating job, training, volunteer, or other community activities for program participants.
- Completing electronic documentation before the end of each shift.
What You Need to Succeed:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid CA Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Immediate access to a vehicle with working seatbelts for transporting participants.
- Comfort driving a full-size van with multiple passengers.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and move up to 75 lbs.
- High comfort level using multiple computer/mobile device programs.
Bonus Points If You:
- Have 6+ months of hands-on experience with persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
- Are multilingual (English, Spanish, Tagalog).
- Have experience with electronic case management systems (e.g., Therap).
- Have experience with individual service plans (goal development).
