Job description: We have an exciting opportunity for a Piping Estimator! Gpac, a 30+ year-old recruitment company, is partnered with a well-established company in the Mechanical industry. This is your chance to join a team that values both exceptional service and a friendly working environment.The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with industrial/process and HVAC piping projects, ensuring competitive and profitable bids.REQUIREMENTS:
- Review project plans specifications, and other relevant documents to understand scope and requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for piping projects, labor, materials, equipment, etc.
- Utilize estimating software and historical cost data to generate accurate and competitive estimates.
- Conduct take-offs and measurements of piping systems.
- Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals to potential clients.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions for projects.
- Analyze and refine estimates as necessary based on project changes or additional information.
- Maintain organized and detailed records of all estimates, bids, and correspondence.
QUALIICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree in a construction related field.
- Proven experience as a Piping Estimator in the construction or mechanical industries.
- Proficiency in estimating software and spreadsheet applications.
- Knowledge of piping materials, construction methods, and industry standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
